Cambridge University Press
Peer review procedure
All Cambridge University Press books go through exactly the same editorial and quality assurance processes, whether they are Open Access or not.
Books go through two types of review:
- Editorial review during the book commissioning and publication processes;
- Approval by the Academic Publications Committee of the Press’s governing board (the Syndicate).
The Editorial review processes vary depending on the type of book and subject areas, but at the minimum all proposals are peer-reviewed and for many books there is additional peer-review of the full manuscript prior to publication.
